Cornbelly's Corn Maze

Thanksgiving point is slowly becoming one of our favorite places to visit, at least until it gets too cold to be outside. This time they had a corn maze and some of other activities, but as you can tell by the pictures, the corn maze was not much to look at. As a matter of fact, it just looked like gigantic, dried weeds. Anyhow, here are a few pictures from there.

Scarecrow festival

So last week for Family Home Evening we went to Thanksgiving Point's "Scarecrow Frestival." There really wasn't a lot of Scarecrows but it was still neat. We went on a wagon ride, got to look at all the different animals, Jack was thrown in Jail and we played games. It was fun but a little pricey. Anyway here are some photos of the night's adventures...

A little conversation with Jack

This was right after we went horse back riding. He is getting to be quite the conversationalist.

So these are the pictures that we took for Jack's second birthday. I have to say that they turned out pretty cute. Target did a great job. Also just for an update, Jack is walking all over the place now. He still walks like he is drunk but he will take 20 to 30 steps, stop and start walking again and he even started to bend down to pick things up and then stand up again. He is making tons of progress. We are still working on getting him to stand up in the middle of the room by himself. He will get there. HOORAY FOR JACK!!!

OK, so I think something happened to Jack. As you all may have heard, Luciano Pavarotti passed away recently. Well, I think his voice may have inherited Jack's body or something. Check out the video, you will see what I mean.

Wake up birthday boy

I know this is a little late to post for Jack's birthday but I think it is so cute, I'm going to post it anyway. We took Jack's 2nd year glamour shots today and they turned out pretty cute. Tune in at a later date to check those out (hopefully.)

Birthday Celebration

So we decided this year we would give Jack an ice cream cone instead of a cake because he tends to throw up cake. We put candles and everything in the ice cream and we were going to sing to him but Jack didn't want to participate because for his birthday he got a shopping cart that he loves so much that we couldn't get him away from it. After about an hour we finally got him away from the shopping cart and he had some licks of John's ice cream cone and we sang to him then. He had a pretty good day, my parents, brother Ted and family and Steph and Tyler all came up and we went to the zoo. While there we saw elephants, monkeys and bears. To end the trip we went on a train ride and played in the park at the zoo. I like to think that Jack enjoyed himself but it is hard to tell through all the temper tantrums.

Then and Now

Two years ago today Jack came into our lives and we are so grateful that he did. He has brought a lot of joy, crazyness and love into our home. Happy Birthday sweet Jack Jack, we love you very much.

Giddy Up!!!

Every friday with Kids on the Move Jack gets to ride horses and groom them. He loves it. He would tell his horse "Go, Go, Go!" to get him to move. He was also very good about holding onto the reins and he actually kept his helmet on, that was a miracle in itself. I'm really glad he is enjoying it because I've always loved horses and hope he doesn't become of afraid of them like his dad.

Grandma and Grandpa Everett got Jack these cute long John's when we went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I think he looks so cute in them.

E-I-E-I-O...

So he still has a long way to go before he is completely trained, but this is at least a start.

The proof is in the pudding

Jack is still only taking a few steps at a time but he is standing a lot longer then he ever has. He also took a couple of steps today without his braces on. I can't believe this is finally happening.

Jack is the man!!

I want it documented that today Jack took 5 completely independent steps today in physical therapy. HOORAY JACK!!!!! I really truly feel like a mom now because those steps made me cry. I guess the leg braces really do work. Hopefully I will be able to catch some of his steps on tape and post it for all to enjoy.

Jack finally got his braces. He does ok with them. The more he wears them, the more he seems to tolerate them. We finally got him to keep them on long enough to get a few pictures.

The water had to have been about 80 something degrees with lots of moss and stuff but Jack still loved it.

Dad's 70th surprise party

My mom decided to through a surprise party for my dad's 70th birthday and all the kids, most kids in laws and grand kids were able to make it. It was a little ruckus at times but it was awesome to finally be able to surprise my dad.
