journal of the bed ridden

i'm going a little crazy just laying around so i thought i would try and do something a little productive. i have now made it through two and a half weeks of bed rest which is a week and a half longer then i lasted with jack. it is the little things that count. i'm now 29 weeks and 3 days along and things are staying stable. i feel like a ticking time bomb like at any moment my body is going to decide that it is done being pregnant and shut down, i guess that is what most women feel like at the end of their pregnancies. i'm trying to do as my mom says and think positively, tell myself that i can do this i can go another 6 or 7 weeks. if it weren't for my amazing mom and husband i don't know that i would be able to. i will lay on the couch or the bed or do whatever is required of me as long as this little boy can stay inside me and "cook" that much longer. at the beginning of this pregnancy my goal was to make it to 30 weeks and now i'm shooting for the stars and i'm hoping for 36 weeks. i hope my john, jack and my mom will hang in there with me.

Tee ball and stuff

So Jack started playing tee ball. Well, you can almost call it playing. It's still more like watching other kids play tee ball, but he is getting a little better and he says he "had a fun time" after the game is over. So that is a good thing. Today was his second game and we finally remembered to bring the camera. He is pretty good at hitting the ball (as you can see), but the other details of the game have escaped him (as you can also see). He's having fun though (most of the time) and that is the most important part!

Since I am updating, I figured I would also include some Valentine's well wishes. Shannyn had planned to make heart shaped pancakes this morning but since she is bed bound, I decided to make them for her. Everyone loved them.
